No viking helmets in New York

Obviously, we wanted to be vikings for Halloween. We quickly found out that getting a viking helmet here is close to impossible, so we went for pirates instead. A distant cuisin to the vikings with the same values. They like gold and sailing.

Training, Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge

Yesterday we went to the city around noon to train a little in the gym. After that we went to Central Park and enjoyed the nice weather before we walked the Brooklyn Bridge.

It is getting colder here now, should be below 0 degrees celcius tonight. Better go buy a jacket soon!

30 cheeseburgers

Last few days have been awesome. Søren bought the most white trash jacket for $20. The cat is Kerry's (the girl we are staying with in Bay Ridge).

Yesterday was the grand opening of the new gym. It is really cool, located close to Times Square. The place was packed, about 35 people on the mat. First we trained in the submission wrestling class, then I taught the MMA class, everyone was looking great.

After training we went to Whitecastle, just to try it before we left. We had 30 cheeseburgers, good Christian Montes came by to help us out with finishing them. Later we hung out in Adams bar, Kings Head Tavern by Union Square. We were the only one there really, but anyhow we managed to stay till 4am before we went home.

Room with a view

Yesterday we went up the Empire State Building. It was a super cool view from the top. One side was closed unfortunately, due to heavy winds. Weather was beautiful up there and we got a few good pictures as the sun almost set.
